How to Finish the School Year Strong as an Educator
We understand that the end of the school year can be an extremely difficult and stressful time of year for teachers and students. While it’s important to stay organized and work hard during this time, it’s also important to simply recognize just how difficult it can be. Then, after you finish this difficult period, make sure to celebrate just how hard you worked and take some time to be proud of yourself.
There can be a lot of things that have to get done before the end of the school year. Make sure that you write them all out so you have a list that you can refer back to and make sure that you don’t forget anything. Even though this might seem overwhelming at the start, as you start to check things off it will feel a lot less overwhelming. Make sure that you complete the important stuff first, and this will take a huge weight off your shoulders. And at the end, you can reflect on all of the things that you were able to get done and feel accomplished.
Take some time to celebrate the successes of individual students. How have each of them improved since the first day they were in your classroom? Let them know how proud you are of them and help them to recognize their successes. Recognize that you helped them to accomplish so much throughout the year. You should feel not only proud of what your students were able to accomplish, but also of your own hard work in helping them to get there.
Be sure to enjoy these last few weeks with your students. Maybe you take your class outside for a change of scenery, or maybe you have some fun activities planned. This will be the last time that you will have this group, so having something that you will all enjoy planned can really help make the end of the year a fun and impactful time. You all have been on a journey together this last year, and that is worth honoring.
And then there’s also planning for next year… This can seem like an overwhelming task especially when you still have so much work to do to finish out the current year.
At Rock Digi (rockdigi.org), we worked hard to make quality lessons that help to save educators time in the planning process. We have all of the objectives and standards that each lesson meets listed so educators don’t have to worry about if they are meeting standards or not.
We offer free trial lessons and preview videos for each lesson so you can get a feel for what the lessons are formatted like. These can show you how even though they are pre-made lessons – it still allows for differentiation.
We also offer Zoom tours, which take approximately 30-45 minutes, where we can show you the program more in-depth and answer your questions. We do these whenever it fits into your schedule and can schedule these for during the summer as well if that works better for you.
We really appreciate the hard work that goes into being an educator and helping students succeed. And because of this, we are offering 10% off the base fee of any Rock Digi curriculum. Just use coupon code: THANKYOU at check out or we can apply it to an invoice if you would like to pay via check. This coupon code expires on June 30th, 2022.
Thank you so much, educators! We hope you have a great rest of the school year and finish the year strong!
