“I Am Rock World Empathy” is a song written about how even though people around the world might have differences, we also have a lot of similarities and are connected as human beings around the world.
The lesson that this song is used in in the Rock Digi curriculum encourages students to stop and contemplate their answers for the following questions:
- Could you control what continent or country you were born in?
- Could you control who your parents are?
- Could you control if you were raised rich or poor?
And based on your answers to these three questions, how does that help you to be empathetic towards people that are from different places, or are just plain different from you?
