Teacher Appreciation

"The mediocre teacher tells. The good teacher explains. The superior teacher demonstrates. The great teacher inspires." – William Arthur Ward

This week is Teacher Appreciation Week, so show your teachers or colleagues some extra love to let them know you are grateful for their efforts and skills.

You can show appreciation to the teachers in your life by:

  • Having students and families write letters of appreciation to their teacher
  • Decorate their classroom doors
  • Give the teachers passes/coupons
    • (i.e., jeans pass, long lunch, early dismissal)
  • Give a gift card for food or classroom supplies
  • Drop off their favorite treat
  • Donate new or gently used books for the teacher’s classroom library

Usually, the teachers we remember and look up to the most taught us the lessons we use daily, like the importance of hard work, double-checking your work, having empathy for your peers, or even how to stand up for yourself in a group setting.

Teachers prepare their students not just for their educational success, but for their success outside of the classroom as well. School is where we learn the social and emotional skills that stick with us for the rest of our lives, and teachers play a big role in that part of education.

These past few years dealing with the Covid-19 pandemic have been especially brutal for teachers as well as students. Trying to connect with kids over Zoom is not an easy task, but teachers have powered through and been able to continue teaching, as hard as it may have been.

While we are appreciating teachers this week, and hopefully every other week, Rock Digi is good to keep in mind- as it is an already planned curriculum that is designed to be as easy to use as possible.

Teachers are more than just teachers to students, they are counselors, mentors, and their biggest influence outside of the home. Rock Digi can give teachers the ability to help their students learn the social-emotional and life skills they need for success, while also keeping the students on their toes.

Rock Digi has a wide variety of lessons that include mental health topics, substance abuse topics, and even dealing with anger and grief. These can help our teachers, who have all had their struggles, learn how to teach kids how to manage their big emotions when the time comes.

We are so grateful for all of the hard work that educators do to help their students succeed. To show our appreciation, we would like to offer 10% off the base fee of any Rock Digi curriculum!
