What is Rock Digi?

Rock Digi is an online curriculum that uses the power of music to teach Social Emotional Learning (SEL) and life skills for success in an effort improve the mental health of all students, reduce bullying and drug use, and create a positive school climate in schools.

Rock Digi was created to take the practices used in the Rock LIVE program, and make it so it could be used in thousands of places simultaneously through an online platform. This way, we are able to help more kids learn the skills needed to be successful.

Each curriculum helps meet social, emotional, mental health, and academic needs of students.

Our goal is to help students learn skills to be resilient so they are able to deal with the ups and downs of life. This way, students will be able to accomplish their goals and be their authentic selves.

Available Rock Digi Curriculum:

SEL and Life Skills for Success

Grades 2-4

This curriculum teaches Social Emotional Learning while focusing on life skills topics such as empathy, anger management, self-acceptance, and accepting others.



SEL and Life Skills for Success

Grades 5-6

This curriculum teaches Social Emotional Learning while focusing on life skills topics such as positive self-talk, to pursue what you love, accepting others, and empathy.



Rock World Empathy - SEL and Global Studies

Grades 7-9

This curriculum is based on three questions:
1. Could you control what country or continent you were born in?
2. Could you control who your parents are?
3. Could you control if you were raised rich or poor?
And based on your answers to these questions, how does that help you to be more empathetic towards people who are different from you?
This curriculum also meets Social Studies standards for grades 7-9, and one of the songs in the curriculum has been translated into 24 different languages!



Opioids, Heroin, and Fentanyl and Other Drug Prevention

Grades 7-12

This curriculum educates students on the dangers of opioids, heroin, and fentanyl as well as binge drinking, vaping, and substance use disorders. This SEL curriculum teaches ways to cope with grief and loss as well as how to find and build healthy relationships with others. Students will learn how to find what they are passionate about, and how to achieve those goals and make healthy decisions.

 

Each lesson includes:

Existing Knowledge (Pre-Test)
Tracks student learning and helps educators to tailor the lesson around students' prior knowledge.

Whiteboard Animation
90 seconds to 4 minutes long, and introduces the concepts to students.

Lyric Music Video
3 to 4 minutes long, and helps students make an emotional connection to the concepts.

Discussion Questions
Drives deeper understanding of the concepts of the lesson.

Drill Down Activities
Allows for differentiated instruction through the variety of different activities for a variety of different learners.

Exit Ticket (Post-Test)
Tracks student learning from beginning of lesson to the end of lesson.

School Home Partnership
Gives students the opportunity to watch the whiteboard animation with their parent or guardian and answer two questions together. Increases parental involvement in a small time commitment.
